Load shedding or power cuts are perennial problems, which are a cute in the countryside and rural backgrounds. Such a problem has forced me to think about exploring options to solve this problem. Moreover, I have been trying to solve the problem of electricity deficit in everyday life by the help of a medium that does not use conventional sources of fuel. From years of research, I have observed that fish scales contain protein in the form of Collagen. From empirical studies, I know that Collagen is capable of producing piezoelectricity. Fish scales are found in abundance in the market and form a suitable source of biodegradable energy. The fish scales have to be cleaned for obtaining pure Collagen. The protein obtained from such scales can then be used for making bio-piezoelectric generators. By combining four generators an output of 14V can be generated that will be sufficient in powering small fans and LED lamps. Again small portable electric gadgets like phones can be charged. This concept can be developed further to power the electricity of an entire house. While the concept of piezoelectric generators exist obtaining piezoelectric from fish scales is a novel one. This concept is a unique one and can be used to develop an alternate mode of electricity for Nano-generators. I can state that this concept is much better than the present ones that rely on body motions for generating mobiles and other small appliances. Fish scale is a product that is abundant and is a very cost-effective process. Moreover, these scales are biodegradable and have the potential to be used for powering a wide variety of gadgets. Demand for alternative sources of energy for powering gadgets will increase and fish scales are a viable source for meeting that demand.
