From a theory perspective, you should focus on how labor markets are defined (which is key for determining an Efficiency wage rate), defining the efficiency wage theory (in particular the two models that you are exploring)the wage productivity model and labor-turnover model, and then providing a comprehensive review of the literature that looks at these models in some detail.

2. The first section should be a one to two (1 – 2) page introduction to the research issue

and question(s) your paper plans to investigate. Begin this section with the subhead:

Introduction. 3. The second section should be a one to two (1 – 2) page description of the context in which

you plan to conduct the research (i.e., your work organization, a former work organization, some new organization, what kind of methodology you utilized, etcetera). In other words, give me a feel for how you conducted your research and where. Begin this section with the subhead: Context.

4. The third section should contain your literature review. Describe the literature and how you feel it provides guidance to your research. Generally speaking, your topic will dictate the length and breadth of your literature review. However, as a general rule of thumb, it should be in the range of five to six (5 – 6) pages. You must also utilize a minimum of ten (10) scholarly sources. Begin this section with the subhead: Literature Review.

5. The fourth section should be a two to three (2 – 3) page analysis of your research. Thoroughly analyze your topic either: descriptively (i.e., case study), statistically, or graphically. Begin this section with the subhead: Analysis.

6. The fifth section should be a one to two (1 – 2) page summary or conclusion. Summarize what you have learned. Also, what recommendations do you have for improving the situation or issue you researched? Begin this section with the subhead: Conclusion.

7. Papers must be written in essay format, typed, double-spaced, in 12-point Times or Times New Roman font, with 1” margins. Either MLA or APA citation style must be utilized consistently throughout the paper. Include a complete works cited page.

8. Grades will be based on: the quality of content, the integration of theory and practice, and the overall writing quality (e.g., spelling, grammar, format).
