All of the pieces we have considered so far contain the theme/idea of consequences for actions. Pick two pieces from Unit I to analyze in this essay. Briefly analyze (showing similarities and differences) how each piece deals with the above theme/idea. How similar and/or different is the portrayal of the theme/idea in each piece with the way society views/portrays the theme/idea today? Between the two pieces, which one do you think brings out the theme/idea in a clearer/more persuasive way? Why? Must give specific examples for all parts.

Minimum Sources Required:

• 2 Online
• 1 Print (text counts as the print source)

 

Outline:

• Intro (1 para, 5-7 lines): Introduce topic and state thesis.
• Body (multiple paras between 5 and 18 lines): Elaborate on thesis
• Conclusion (1 para, 5-7 lines): Summary
• Total length of essay: 2-3 pages (double spaced, not counting Works Cited; length starts with first word of introduction, not top of 1^st page)

 

MLA format:

• Times New Roman, 12 point font
• 1-inch margins all around
• Double-spaced
• Black ink, white paper
• Stapled (in order!)
• Works Cited page
• No separate cover page
• On only the first page, in the top left corner, one below the other, put your name, my name, ENGL 2332 and the date the paper is due
• On EVERY page (starting with the first page) in the top right corner put your last name and the page number

 

You must submit three copies of the essay: two electronic (1 on ecampus and 1 on turnitin.com) and one hard copy to me in class.
