Choose two artist’s from different movements within the Modern Era. Write a three-five page essay that compares and contrasts these artist and their work within an art historical context. What were the influences of the time that shaped the work of each artist? Compare and contrast the artworks in form, content, and context.

 – The form of the work are the visual aspects. Your formal analysis should contain at least three specific Elements of Art (Chapter 4) and one Principle of Design (Chapter5).
•CONTENT (33 points)
 – Content is the subject matter or what the artwork is about. How is the content of the work related to its form?
•CONTEXT (33 points) – Clearly explain which art movement (Impressionism, Post-Impressionism, Cubism, Expressionism, Abstract Expressionism, Popism, etc…) of which each painting belongs and why.

Your essay should be around 3-5 pages double space.
