 Guidelines: Write a 250-500 mini-essay synthesizing information from at least three different sources that you plan to use for your Problem-Solution paper.  Make sure to do the following: 1) use all three methods – quoting, paraphrasing, and summarizing – at least once, 2) use a lead-in and a citation each time you include information from a source, 3) include a mini Works Cited or References list, and 4) include a brief opening statement explaining which of the approaches listed below you chose for this assignment.

While this paper doesn’t have to read as a complete essay in and of itself, it should contain well-developed, separate paragraphs.  It’s possible to re-use the text of this assignment and incorporate it into your Problem-Solution paper.  You might choose to A) write the first 250-500 words of what will become your Problem-Solution paper, B) write a middle section of the Problem-Solution paper, or C) write several paragraphs that will go in different sections of your Problem-Solution paper.
