English for occupational purposes

I am studying ELT and the name of the module is “Developing Language learning material”.

 

I have decided to make my assignment on EOP ( English for occupational purposes. Here I will have to design or plan and deliver an EOP course for specific group of professionals in a particular context. After deciding my chosen context I will have to select some relevant EOP published materials and have to undertake a critical analysis based on materials evaluation theory (I have attached the lecture slides on evaluation of published materials).

And based on what context I outlined in the first part I will have to develop some original material to be used in an 1 hour EOP session.

And then I will have to explain the rationale guiding of my material design and provide relevant details regarding theory and practice. Clearly identify the learning outcome of my materials and after that I will have to provide a lesion plan in the appendix.

First a short intro> then delivering an EOP course for a special group of professionals ( nurse, engineer, tour guides) in a particular context. > based on context outlined slect some relevant EOP published materials and undertake a critical analysis based on material evaluation theory.> based on outlined context develop materials for an 1 hour EOP session. >rational guiding for material design and provide relevant details for theory and practice. > clearly identify the learning outcome of the materials.> provide a lesion plan in the appendix. > a short conclusion.
