The government is looking into providing services and organization that can help to determine what the issues and solutions are available (Strauss, 1999).

In Broward County, during the summer time services are provided for the children to be able to attend camps that have access to prevention programs which help the parent because of timing (Strauss, 1999).

These programs have to be effective to be able to conquer childhood obesity. In recent study, it shows that childhood obesity has more than doubled in children in the past 30 years, obesity is one of the results of caloric imbalance (Strauss, 1999).

Childhood obesity has both immediate and long-term effects on the health and well-being of children. Some of the immediate effects can be risk of cardiovascular disease and the long-term health problem of diabetes, cancer, stroke and some other health issues.

It is mainly considered as a major challenge to the children in the developed countries. In America, there has been an increase in the rate of childhood obesity which has become a worrying problem (Strauss, 1999).
