Beginning with the first book of the Bible, human distinctions have been made on the basis of gender. The assigned readings this week provide a rich discourse on gender roles. Tasks: Develop a 550-word analysis of the week’s assigned readings to address the following: . What main ideas did the authors convey about gender roles? . Who is the target audience?

. What assumptions have the authors made about the reader? . What other aspect of gender do you wish was discussed or explored further? . Of the information the authors provided on gender, what information is most useful to help in counseling families?
