Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:
discuss and analyse health outcomes and health care from different social, economic, cultural and political perspectives;
apply critical political, social and economic insights on health and health provision to health outcomes for people at a local level;
discuss the concepts of community, power and inequity in relation to health and leisure practices, contexts and projects;
explain the concept of inclusive citizenship and critically reflect on how this may be applied in health and leisure contexts;
apply and critically evaluate a variety of the key principles and strategies of community development to leisure and health projects.
