Students will present a case study review as a group. You will have the opportunity to learn about the types of problems that many companies and industries face. In your groups you will analyze what were the attempted and steps taken to correct specific issues in case study. This will give you the opportunity to discuss in smaller groups and engage your critical thinking skills.

In and out class group meetings
- You will be assigned to a group and a case study on Human Relations Issues. The instructor will provide selected cases (Course Documents for Case Studies).
- Read the case before your in-class group meeting. Take notes and share in your small group discussion relevant facts and key problems.
- Focus your analysis with your group members: Identify two to five key problems. Why do they exist? How do they impact the organization? Who is responsible for them?
- Reflect on course readings, discussions and outside research.
- What is the best solution to the issue(s)?
- Plan with your peers additional meeting times to meet deliverable expectations.
Group Paper
- Submit a 4-6 page group paper, double spaced, 12 font (not including cover page and reference page) with an analysis of your findings.
- Present in class as a group a 15-minute presentation on your findings. Presentation (PPT) will highlight your findings and is not to exceed 10 pages.
- Works cited – APA format. (Minimum of 3 different references all of which will be 2010-2016). All references must be peer reviewed. Please ask if you are unfamiliar with this requirement.
- Edit/correct/proof your work before submission
- Be prepared to answer questions from your peers and instructor.
Your paper should have the following headers and outline information:

- Cover page: Include your group member names, course name, date, etc.
- Introduction: Introduce the case study title, author(s), year published, brief description of the study and organization involved. Identify the key problems and issues in the case study.
- Background: Give relevant history. For example, events that happened years ago may help clarify the current situation, or the situation may have arisen suddenly without obvious historical causes. Demonstrate that you have researched the problems in this case study.
- Key findings: Give details of the current situation relevant to understanding why this situation is a case. For example, present the issues. Does it present a unique challenge or an unusual problem? Does it illustrate the effectiveness of an intervention?
- New findings: What new research has been conducted on this issue/topic?
- Intervention and Plans: Describe what has been done by the organization’s leadership. Explain why this solution was chosen. Include concepts from class or outside research to reflect on these.
- Recommendations: What do you consider the best plan moving forward. Determine and discuss specific strategies for accomplishing the proposed solution. What should be done and who should do it?
- Conclusions: Identify the key conclusions your group has agreed to and the main personal takeaways. What did you learn from the case study? How has what you learned broadened your understanding of Human Relations?
- Reference page: Include library link of articles reviewed and those links mentioned above
