The 2G wireless technology could enable its user make phone calls, send and receive voice and simple e-mails at a low rate of 10 kilobytes per seconds (10kb/sec). The 2.5G technology was better in that it provided its user the luxury of browsing the web, navigational maps, and fax. A 3 minute mp3 song could also be downloaded from between 6-9 minutes at the speed of 64-144kb/sec. All these features aren’t apparently enough for an average business person on the go.
