(Maximum 14 pages, Minimum 7 pages, plus cover and addendum (reference pages) Must follow APA format.

The paper should be divided into 4 section:.

 

• • Section 1: Develop a marketing plan
  • Market Research:

For your chosen location. Full credit will be given for projects with household income data, demographic data, and competitor analysis of at least two properties (other caterers, restaurants, similar hotels, etc.). Is there an unmet need (higher quality, greater value, cultural events) or excess demand. What are the business markets and business market events? Examine SMERF (Social, Military, Education, Religious, and Fraternal organizations) market and the special events market This section should be at least 3 to 4 pages with at least two graphs displaying two of the factors above.(Total of graphs cannot exceed one page).

• Section 2: A marketing budget
• Marketing Plan/Strategy:

Use the Four P’s to describe how you are going to attract customers to your offering and why you believe this will work compared to other options. This should relate directly to the findings in the market research portion of the project. What specific tactics will you use to achieve your goals? This section should be at least 1 to 2 pages.

• Section 3: Market research
• Marketing Budget:

How much will your marketing plan cost? Include the main costs discussed in class. Were all major expenses included? Do the numbers pass the gut-check test for reasonableness? At least 1 page in the form of a table or excel worksheet.

The manual should include the most successful of the widely used techniques discussed in class and should be tailored to the market segment you have chosen to pursue.
